Christmas project 2024

This Christmas, we provided the children in Annette's soup kitchen in Otjiwarongo, our kindergarten in Shighuru - a remote village in north-east Namibia - and in the Rundu region with a very special treat: Gifts that were more than just a surprise. As part of our Christmas campaign, we distributed urgently needed school supplies for the school year 2025, which begins in Namibia in January.

For many families, buying exercise books, pencils and other learning materials is a huge financial burden. Thanks to the generous donations, we were able to put together a gift set for each child, which not only contained the school materials, but also a small personal surprise that brought a smile to their face.

The 2024 Christmas campaign has come to an end and was a complete success. A total of 161 children in 4 different locations received gifts, including Annette's soup kitchen in Otjiwarongo, the kindergarten in Shighuru, a kindergarten in Rundu and other children in need from Rundu. The gift packages varied slightly depending on the individual needs, but generally contained pencils, exercise books, craft materials and a small surprise for the child.
