Christmas project 2026

When the new school year begins in Namibia in January, many families face a major challenge: exercise books, pens and other learning materials are a financial burden for them. Without basic supplies, children start the school year at a disadvantage. With our Christmas project 2026, we want to give around 300 children in our projects a good start to the 2027 school year.

Our Christmas project has been an integral part of our work since 2021. In our Christmas project 2025, we were able to provide around 300 children with school supplies. In 2026, we want to build on this.

What is in a school pack?

A school pack costs around €10. It contains exercise books, pens and a small personal surprise to bring the children joy. Our local partners buy the materials in Namibia and put the packs together. This way, we support local businesses at the same time and can take the age and needs of the children into account.

Where do the school packs go?

The school packs are distributed through our projects, including:

• the soup kitchen at the Community Center in Rundu
• Annette's Soup Kitchen in Otjiwarongo
• the kindergarten in Shighuru, a village in north-east Namibia

The people on site know the children and their families personally and know where support is needed most.

How you can help

With €10, you give a child a complete school pack. Every amount helps so that as many children as possible can start the new school year well equipped. You can donate via our donation page. Please use the reference “Weihnachtsaktion 2026” so that your donation can be allocated to this project.

We sincerely THANK YOU for your support!
